ACCOMMODATION
Our Accommodation Highlights:
- Official Homestay Coordinator
- Weekly Evaluations
- Ongoing Support
During your stay you will have different housing options.
You can have us reserve you a room in a student apartment
or organize a homestay with a local upper-middle class family.
Of course, it is also possible to arrange your own housing
outside of ECELA’s options.
Shared Apartment:
Our most popular housing option is the shared apartment. No
meal plan is available with the shared apartments, however
you will have access to a kitchen to prepare your own meals.
Furthermore, cooperation with other students is necessary
as housekeeping takes care of common areas only once per week.
The student apartment is the best option for anyone who wants
to combine the Spanish immersion experience with meeting new
friends. All apartments are fully furnished and equipped.
You may have a private or shared room, with a same-sex roommate.
Family Homestay:
We recommend that students take advantage of the homestay
option to practice Spanish and be exposed to local culture.
Middle-class families are carefully selected and provide each
student with a private room and kitchen access. Do not assume
that you are too old for a homestay as many of our students
are older than their host "parents." For many of
our students, their homestay is one of the most rewarding
experiences they have while studying abroad.
FOR ALL OPTIONS:
• Sheets and towels inlcuded.
• Change of sheets and towels once a week.
• Phone calls may be received.
• Minimum stay one week.
